Step-by-Step Application Guide
Gather your information
Before you start, have ready: Social Security Number, employment details, monthly net income, bank account info (routing + account number), and a valid government-issued ID.
Visit Avant.com and prequalify
Click the "Check Your Rate" button. Enter your desired loan amount, purpose, and personal details. Avant performs a soft credit pull that won't affect your score. You'll see personalized rate offers within minutes.
Start Prequalification →Review your loan offer carefully
Examine the APR, administration fee, monthly payment, and total repayment amount. Use our calculator to verify the numbers match and confirm the net proceeds after the admin fee is deducted.
Submit the full application
If you accept the offer, complete the full application. Avant will run a hard credit inquiry at this point. You may be asked to submit supporting documents like pay stubs or bank statements.
Sign loan documents
If approved, review and electronically sign your loan agreement. Read the fine print — specifically the administration fee amount and your repayment schedule.
Receive your funds
Avant deposits funds via ACH to your bank account. If approved before 4:30 PM CT on a business day, funds typically arrive the next business day. The administration fee is deducted from the disbursement automatically.

Tips to Improve Your Approval Odds
Check Your Credit First
Pull a free report at AnnualCreditReport.com. Dispute any errors before applying — even 10–20 extra points can lower your APR significantly.
Lower Your Utilization
Credit card utilization above 30% hurts your score. Pay down balances before applying if possible. Below 10% is ideal.
Gather All Documents
Have pay stubs, bank statements, and ID ready before starting. Missing documents can slow or derail your approval.
Borrow Only What You Need
A smaller loan relative to your income improves your debt-to-income ratio and odds of approval at a better rate.
